Building Community, Building Futures:
30 Years of Economic Impact
Since its founding in 1994, the Martin Luther King Economic Development Corporation (MLKEDC) has created almost 506,000 square feet of office, retail, and residential space, including 246 new residential units in the MLK Village. The combined cost of these construction projects is almost $70 million, but their value is much greater because of the jobs and new homes created in the Village.
You’re invited!
The MLKEDC is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with two private fundraising events:
Thursday, October 10, 2024
An exclusive VIP motorcoach tour of business, residential, and mixed-use projects created by the organization, followed by a private catered luncheon at the Welford Sanders Enterprise Center.
October 12, 2024
An elegant formal dinner and prestigious awards gala hosted at the iconic Harley-Davidson Museum, celebrating outstanding achievements and contributions.
Money raised through these two events will help build capacity to further MLKEDC’s mission in the Harambee and Bronzeville neighborhoods.
